On this Foundation Degree you will acquire the knowledge and skills to establish a career in management. Following an initial year look at common management principles, you will have the chance to look in depth at issues relevant to the public sector; or, should you so wish, to alter your focus towards more general business practice.

The public sector encompasses regional and local government, uniformed services, health services and a range of governmental bodies. As this course covers areas such as law, sociology, psychology, finance and media, it is also suitable if you want to specialise in a particular field in the future.
